Concrete in a larger project
Concrete removal before commercial charging stations are installed
Charging-station installation can require defined concrete removals where the new layout crosses existing paving or replaces an old pad. Begin with the installer's civil and electrical design. Bolan assesses the cutting and removal portion; charger selection, electrical installation and new civil construction remain separate.
Discuss the removal portion through our concrete removal service.
Mark conflicts on the installation plan
Show existing concrete, the proposed installation and every retained entrance or route. A charger symbol alone does not define the extent or depth of demolition. The responsible design team must identify the physical work required.
| Illustrative conflict | Concrete question | Work belonging to others |
|---|---|---|
| Obsolete pad | Does the defined pad need removal, and what is known about it? | Replacement foundation and installation design |
| Route crossing a walkway | What concrete strip or section is specified? | Service routing, excavation and reinstatement scope |
| Retained parking surface | Where does removal stop? | New levels, drainage and finished paving |
Do not infer an excavation or foundation-removal scope from a line drawn for a cable. Identify material, known thickness and uncertainty for the site assessment.
Compare local and connected removals
One proposal may replace a small obsolete pad without crossing the main pedestrian route. Another may require several connected concrete sections to be removed for the designed installation. The second adds retained-edge and access questions even if both projects serve the same number of chargers.
Utility information and responsible professional review must address the actual work area. A visible pad does not establish what lies beneath it or what it supports.
Coordinate access with the property team
The manager and project contractor determine how affected parking spaces, entrances and material routes are handled. Keep the demolition area distinct from the installation and testing area. No promise of uninterrupted parking or public access follows from this guide.
Ask the receiving civil contractor to specify the condition and boundary it needs after concrete removal. New foundations, bollards, service installation, drainage and charging performance are not part of the ordinary removal assessment unless a separate accepted scope establishes otherwise.
Request the defined concrete package
Provide Bolan with the installation drawing, existing surfaces, retained routes and the civil or electrical project contact. List unknown depths or bases as questions. The enquiry should describe the building work that conflicts with the design, not request a turnkey charging-station installation.
