Removing the pool surround while keeping the pool
Replacing the paving around a pool is a different project from removing the pool itself. The pool edge, equipment connections and enclosure may all stay while the walking surface changes. Ask the pool professional and landscape installer to define the retained pool boundary before the concrete-removal scope is agreed.
Separate paving from the pool edge
Photograph the coping, paving joints, drains and equipment routes. Mark which elements belong to the replacement design. Do not assume a visible line shows a physically independent slab. The pool specialist should establish what can be disturbed and what needs protection at the shell and edge.
Coordinate water and access decisions
Ask the pool professional what condition the pool should be in during surrounding work and who is responsible for it. Do not drain or alter the pool based on a paving quote. Keep the enclosure requirement and access route in the plan, including any gates affected by debris removal.
Give the landscaper an agreed receiving condition
Decide whether the granular base is being retained for assessment, removed or replaced. New drainage and finished levels belong with the replacement design. Bolan can assess the concrete removal and haul-away against those boundaries; the pool and landscape specialists should confirm the interfaces before work starts.
Prepare this decision for the assessment
Bring these details to the site discussion so the removal scope reflects the parts of your property that are changing.
