Concrete in a larger project
Concrete removal for a warehouse floor renewal
A warehouse floor-renewal request should identify which ordinary slab sections actually need removal. Surface wear, a finish change and a design calling for concrete replacement are different starting points. The floor designer or receiving contractor should establish the replacement boundary before demolition is arranged.
Discuss the removal portion through our concrete removal service.
Separate finishes from concrete
Removing a covering is not the same as breaking out the slab beneath it. Record both on the plan, with the intended stopping layer and any unknown construction. Bolan can assess defined ordinary concrete removal; a warehouse address does not establish specialist industrial-foundation capability.
| Illustrative floor zone | Removal question | Dependency |
|---|---|---|
| Defined replacement section | What extent and known depth are specified? | Floor designer's detail and receiving contractor |
| Wider slab-removal proposal | Which ordinary slab areas are confirmed? | Assessment of construction, supports and affected services |
| Retained rack base | Where does surrounding removal stop? | Rack/equipment specialist and design direction |
| Unidentified thickened area | Is it slab, foundation or another assembly? | Further professional identification before inclusion |
Compare a section repair with a broader renewal
In one illustrative layout, a floor specialist identifies a bounded section for replacement beside a retained storage aisle. The removal scope follows that defined area and records its interface with the aisle.
In a second layout, the incoming use calls for a larger ordinary slab-removal area. Racks and equipment have separate relocation responsibilities, and retained foundations are clearly excluded from disturbance pending review. The broader outline does not authorise machine-foundation or post-tensioned work.
Agree what the concrete contractor receives
The receiving contractor specifies the removal boundary and the starting condition for its own work. Repairs, new concrete, curing, coatings and final load or flatness requirements remain with the appropriate specialists. Demolition completion is not permission to reopen the floor to warehouse operations.
The facility team and GC resolve affected access and the programme. No heavy-industrial throughput or shutdown-duration promise is assumed.
Request a bounded removal assessment
Bring Bolan the marked floor plan, known slab information, retained rack and equipment locations, and the replacement contractor's contact. Identify unknown foundations, layers or services as unresolved questions. A clear ordinary-concrete package can be assessed without pretending that every feature below the warehouse floor is already understood.
